The objective of the Leadership Vista Programs is to foster:

· Greater mentorship and collaboration among peers and between management levels

· Greater leadership diversity

· A more appreciative, rewarding, productive and profitable workplace.

The Monte Vista Program

The Leadership Vistas Monte Vista program is designed for second-line managers and above, including:

  • Mid-level managers responsible for managing managers and/or budgets spanning two or more functional disciplines.
  • Well established, motivated senior managers interested in developing more meaningful and productive business relationships while taking their leadership skills to the next level.

Format

With an average chapter size of 12 to 16 members, the Monte Vista program enables leaders to think more strategically with an emphasis on the appreciation of gender, culture, and generational differences and similarities. Building on the Prima Vista program, the Monte Vista program is designed to be an interactive, peer-to-peer mentoring experience aimed at teaching leaders to apply lessons learned.

Facilitated by an executive coach, each monthly chapter meeting will focus on deeper exploration of thought-provoking leadership topics. Some sessions may include a guest speaker. The intent of the Monte Vista program is to foster a broader sharing of insights, vision, personal experiences and best practices that will prepare mid-level managers for the next step on their career ladder while delivering tangible results to the bottom-line.

A typical Monte Vista chapter meeting format will:

  • Start with a presentation on the topic for the day, woven with lots of interaction
  • Segue to discussion of a critical business issue
  • Connect each member at a deeper level through a candid discussion and assessment of each member’s personal and professional progress

Topics

Topics will include traditional leadership challenges as well as reflect the latest hot issues that member businesses are facing. Examples of topics covered by Monte Vista chapters include:

  • Building a Strategic Mind
  • Building Team Trust
  • Infinite-Win Leadership Fundamentals
  • Immunity to Change - Are You Your Own Worst Enemy?
  • Negotiating Strategies for Increasing Influence
  • Your Role as a Coach
  • Courage to do the Right Thing
  • Performance Under Pressure
  • Impacts of a Downward Wage Spiral
  • Resilience – How to Recover Quickly from Setbacks
  • The impacts of social networking
  • Aligning corporate and professional brands
  • Staying Positive in challenging times

Over time, each Monte Vista chapter will cover many topics, and will approach topics from a variety of aspects. While the general topics may be similar from year to year, the approach will always take new directions, with deeper exploration and more enriching insights shared among the members. Renewing Monte Vista members will likely never experience repetition of topics.
