Testimonials

Being a member of Business Women Rising (BWR) has provided huge benefits both personally and professionally. The leadership and management educational resources, thought leadership discussions and keen insight from other successful women executives have helped my professional growth. I have converted several concepts and ideas from BWR into new tools and programs for my company. The friendships and new contacts have also been invaluable.

"I thank you so very much for allowing me to be a part of the amazing forum you organized earlier this month.

It was an amazing experience and I would recommend your exchanges and organization to any woman.

I am being completely honest when I say that it was one of the most relevant and useful events that I have experienced in a long time."

Thank you. I really enjoyed your presentation. My son has purchased the book and will be taking the Strengths Finders test. He is interested in advancement and your seminar is a very good tool. I sat next to a young lady that had just finished college and it made me think of my son.

Of course the seminar was great and I will be using the techniques with my clients.

"I found Managing Project Conflict valuable.

Conflict explanation: We’ve all heard this before but I’ve never heard it put so well; especially the need for conflict and how to make it a positive experience. It’s too often grudgingly admitted to be necessary but rarely valued as a springboard to success.

I thought the presenter identified the issues that everyone thinks about but no one wants to admit/discuss in relation to conflict on projects.

Offering a kind of script with which to address conflict was very helpful. We don’t always have the terminology ready to meet the challenge of relating to those with whom we have conflict.

The section on Breaking down the Sources of Conflict was likely to appeal to analytical people (of which I am one).

Overall comment on the series: Whoever is selecting the presenters is doing a great job."

"Thank you so much for including us in your amazing event yesterday. The program was extraordinary and we came away with renewed passion for our careers. It’s an easier path to work through one’s strengths and be mindful of other’s passions, too. Every presenter was fascinating and inspiring and it was easy to see that you have created an amazing organization.

Thank you, thank you. It was a day we will long remember."

"I thoroughly enjoyed the seminar. I felt so inspired and encouraged walking out of the seminar. I have already applied the workshop discussions to my daily work life. In fact, I have followed up with one of my coworkers and we will periodically check on one another to be held accountable for certain issues that we would like to change as a result of the seminar."

"What a tremendously great experience I’ve had with the group so far.  Each session has been incredibly insightful, enriching and inspiring.  It fulfills so many areas for me.  One of the major themes of the program that stands out for me is “cultivating greatness.”  This was quite clear to me on day one as I sat awestruck by the positive energy emulated by some of the most brilliant minds I’ve ever encountered.  We all have that one big, obvious thing in common and this fabulous program is helping to nurture those seeds of greatness, ensuring that they grow into their full, boundless potential.

This program has provided me with a safe and candid platform which has helped strengthen my confidence, self-awareness, and relationship building with others.  The flexible yet prescriptive structure allows me to not only define my goals and strategize on how to implement them, but also gives me a chance to helps others in their own personal quests. Thank you so much for such a transformational experience!"

“I found the group so engaging and informative, and, more importantly, it opened my eyes to other possibilities and viewpoints. After several days of sitting with all of these ideas, I’ve really been able to take a look at what are motivators for me in the work world. I’ve also been able to apply some ideas immediately to what I’m doing here, and in fact had a wonderful AHA moment yesterday in discovering that something we thought was a problem was not a problem at all, and instead just required a different focus.”

"Business Women Rising is an exceptional organization – improving the professional effectiveness of senior management. In today’s market we are all doing more with less and need to step up our game to ensure we are providing strategic leadership in our organizations. The Monte Vista program has truly exceeded any expectations I had prior to joining the chapter. It has given me the tools and forum to continuously grow and improve in my personal and professional development. The education, executive coaching and synergistic sharing of business strategies and solutions is inspiring and greatly increases what I bring back to my company in the form of a more effective leader and professional. “I expected a more focused professional coaching session, yet felt like we received a ‘whole person – woman and professional’ perspective. Not so much of a ‘women’s rights/issues in business’ (which is good), but more of focusing on us as individuals – both personally and professionally. That is very effective and unique in my experience. I think there was a lot of honest, constructive exchange and refreshing affirmations / perspectives. I enjoyed contributing as well as receiving support and advice from the team. I look forward to the next meeting!”

“The value provided is different from other managerial training sessions in several ways. The biggest benefit I see is that it's over a long enough period of time to allow for the trust to be built and for the individual participants to have the freedom to stretch, test next techniques, and grow the most.

‘Relief’ describes my feeling that I'm not alone in my questions and career concerns, relief that I've found a group that I can trust to try new things with, and relief that a solution is possible to my perceived problems.

I think RELIEF would also be a word companies can use about their employee participants, in that they are relieved that they can offer quality training to excellent employees and relieved that through this training they can offer the future career path to keep those key individuals.”
