Deborah Van Huis - Managing Director, Stella Vista Program

With a rare combination of technical expertise and superior teaching and leadership development skills, Deborah Van Huis is Managing Director of Business Women Rising’s Stella Vista program for high achieving professionals. For individual contributors who influence senior level executives, Deborah has developed a comprehensive program that will enable them to become more effective in their roles as communicators within and beyond the organization. 

Deborah has over twenty-five years of experience in business management, planning, and large-scale project management. Deborah formerly served as the West Coast Regional Land Manager for Centex Homes, Director of Forward Planning for KB Home and Vice President of Forward Planning for one of the nation’s largest developers.  
She continues teaching at the University of California Riverside Extension and University of Redlands and she also provides business consulting and leadership development services through the firm she founded, Expertise On Demand.

Deborah holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago and an MS in Administration with a concentration in leadership studies from Central Michigan University.
